Holiday Destination Safaris will keep all personal information send us as strictly confidential and no personal information will be made available to third parties, unless indebted to do so by legal process.

Booking

In order to confirm our clients’ reservation, Holiday Destination requires a 50% deposit payment at the time of making the booking. The balance of payment is due 30 days prior to the commencement date of your itinerary. Bookings made within 30 days prior to departure are subject to full prepayment at the time of confirming the reservation.

Holiday Destination Safaris, its employees, agents and associates will not be liable for any damage of whatsoever nature arising or resulting from the use of or inability to use this site or the information contained hereon, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive and consequential damage.

Agreement

The information contained on this site is an invitation to do business and not an offer. If you forward an offer to us, Holiday Destination Safaris shall indicate their acceptance thereof by return mail. Holiday Destination Safaris acts herein as an agent for our respective business partners and therefore any agreement resulting from the acceptance of an order is deemed an agreement between the relevant business partner and yourself.

Alteration

The company reserves the right to alter arrangements on the route or to cancel the operation of a scheduled tour should conditions necessitate. It also reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of any tour at any time

Safety & Security: Normal precautions as in any other destination world-wide should be taken. Visitors are advised not to leave cash and valuables in their hotel rooms but to make use of safe deposit boxes and safes. One should never carry large sums in cash and women should keep a tight grip on handbags in crowds or busy streets. Jewelry snatching is quite common in city streets. As in all major cities walking alone or in small groups at night should be considered a hazard and avoided. Reliable taxis are available at all the principal hotels. Taking photographs is prohibited near military installations, policemen, the president, the national flag, the State House, state lodges, soldiers, prisons and prisoners etc. Seek assistance from your driver/guide before photographing local people & permission should be obtained.

Health & Medical Advice: The client shall confirm that he/she is medically fit, in good physical and mental health and is able to embark on the tour. Any client with a pre-existing medical condition or illness must declare such conditions to the company before commencement of the tour. Kenya & Tanzania requires a vaccination certificate against yellow fever. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that he/she has the appropriate vaccinations. An anti-malarial prophylactic is highly recommended for all African countries. Please check with your doctor for advice on other vaccination precautions against typhoid, tetanus, polio, meningitis and hepatitis. Membership of the Flying Doctors Society is strongly recommended. In event of accident or sickness while on safari, the society will fly patients by air ambulance to Nairobi for admittance to hospital. A personal health insurance cover is strongly recommended.

Medical Supplies: All vehicles are equipped with first aid kit. It is advisable to travel with a small medical kit that includes any basic remedies you may need, such as antacids, painkillers, anti-histamines and cold remedies. Take along scissors, tweezers, and thermometer, lip salve, sun block, water purification tablets or drops, as well as your preferred brands of toiletries and cosmetics. Also take a torch and a pocket knife.

Travel Insurance: We advise clients to take a Travel Insurance cover before taking any safari.
Checklist for tour: A passport that is valid for six months beyond the intended length of stay, Entry Visas to Kenya and Tanzania, Return Air Ticket, Travel Insurance, Medical Cover, comfortable clothing & shoes, insect repellant, Camera, Adapter plugs, convertors for electrical devices, Sun glasses, hat, sun screen, Binoculars, Basic medical kit, light rain gear & Money for souvenirs.

Accommodation is based on per person sharing a twin/double/triple room or tent. Single rooms are available at an additional cost and all rooms are subject to availability at the time of booking.

Children travelling with Parents: 2 years and below sharing a room with an adult is free of charge. Whilst sharing a room with one or two adults, children ages 3 to 12 years are charged 50% of per person sharing. Two children ages 11 years and below are charged 75% of per person sharing each.

Uganda Safaris

GORILLA TRACKING: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST – 3 days/2 nights

Day One
An early morning start from Kampala takes you southwest and across the Equator. You drive through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredibly long curving horns. You then ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the “Switzerland of Africa”, with terraced farming and mountain scenery. Drive through to Bwindi (ten hour drive).

Day Two
After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular. The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but criss-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored. Many find it to be a rare and moving opportunity.

Day Three
This morning, end your stay in the “Land of the Mountain Gorillas” and depart with great memories of the moments spent with the fascinating Mountain Gorillas. Transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route.

LAKE MBURO, GORILLA TRACKING & QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
5 days/4 nights

Day One
Morning drive to Lake Mburo National Park (3 hours). After lunch, embark on afternoon boat-cruise, followed by an early evening game drive.

Day Two
Early morning game drive. Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park (6 hours).

Day Three
Make sure to pack lunch for this early morning start. Attend briefing with the Ranger-guide and then embark on the Gorilla tracking activity.

Day Four
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and proceed to Mweya Peninsular via the Ishasha sector for a chance to see the famous tree-climbing lions (5 hour journey). Afternoon boat cruise on the beautiful Kazinga Channel, followed by an evening game drive.

Day Five
Morning game drive, breakfast and then another chance to see game as you exit the Park heading back to Kampala (6 hour journey).

MURCHISON FALLS, KIBALE FOREST, QUEEN ELIZABETH & LAKE MBURO
7 days/6 nights

Day One
Commence your safari to Murchison Falls National Park with Rhino tracking and lunch en-route. Visit the top of the Mighty Murchison Falls.

Day Two
Early morning game-drive on the north bank, that nestles on the Nyamsika Plateau, to explore the diversity of wildlife in Uganda’s largest National Park. Sunrise game drive. Afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the Magnificent Murchison Falls.

Day Three
Take a long scenic ride to Kibale Forest (7 hours).

Day Four
Rallying behind your Ranger guide, enter Kibale Forest Sub-Sahara’s largest hard-wood forest and track Chimpanzee, one of Kibale’s 13 primate species. After lunch, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with an opportunity to view game as you enter the park.

Day Five
Rise before the sun to catch a glimpse of the wonders of nature as you do a game drive. Afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, the perfect platform to see the toothsome Nile Crocodiles, dormant and playful Hippos and abundant birdlife that lives on the banks of the channel.

Day Six
Early morning breakfast, check-out and transfer to Kyambura Gorge for an opportunity to track Chimpanzees. Continue safari to Lake Mburo (2 hours). Afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo followed by an evening game drive.

Day Seven
Today, be adventurous and take a safari walk with an armed Ranger. After breakfast, return Kampala with an en-route game-drive.

KIBALE FOREST, QUEEN ELIZABETH, GORILLA TRACKING & LAKE MBURO 7days/6 nights

Day One
Begin with a scenic ride through trading centers, villages, swamps and forests to Kibale Forest
(5 hour journey). After lunch, embark on Chimpanzee tracking.

Day Two
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park (3 hours). Lunch break and then later an evening game-drive for a chance to catch glimpse of the some of the amazing wildlife species.

Day Three
Early morning game-drive to explore the diversity of Uganda’s second largest National Park as the sun rises. Lunch break. Afternoon boat-ride on the famous Kazinga channel.

Day Four
This early morning, take breakfast and drive to Kyambura Gorge for an opportunity to track Chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Packed Lunch and then transfer to Bwindi Forest via the Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth National Park (5 hours).

Day Five
Sacrifice morning sleep to attend briefing by the Ranger guide; don’t forget your packed lunch, water and a walking stick! Follow the Ranger guide into the forest sanctuary to trek the Gorillas.

Day Six
Today, enjoy last moments in the Land of the Mountain Gorillas before transferring to Lake Mburo National Park (6 hours). Take an afternoon boat cruise on the lake and an evening game-drive.

Day Seven
Morning guided safari walk, breakfast and en-route game-drive as you exit the park. Stop for lunch on the way back to Kampala.

Egypt Israel Safari

11 DAYS SAFARI OF EGYPT AND ISRAEL

DAY 1: – EGYPT/THE PYRAMIDS
Upon arrival in the Land of the Pharaohs – Cairo International airport you will be welcomed and assisted through immigration and customs by our representative, then escorted to your hotel.

Later on visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. You will also visit an Oriental perfumery before proceeding to Kardassa the largest market for textile shopping, offering cotton and linen products. Return to the hotel for overnight stay. Meal plan: Lunch /Dinner

DAY 2: – COPTIC CAIRO
After breakfast check out of the hotel and depart for a morning visit to the Old Cairo. Then visit The hanging church (AL MUALLAQA) – built in the 4th century over southern gate of the fortress of Babylon .Dedicated to Virgin Mary with its treasures include a 14th century wall painting of the Nativity.

Church of St. Sergius (ABU SERGA) – A 5th century basilica built over crypt where the Holy Family is believed to have stayed during their flight into Egypt.

Church of St. Mercurius (ABU SEFEIN) – boasts a unique collection of Coptic art including 175 icons that depict scenes from the Old and New Testaments, wall paintings, etching and stained glass, and Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Later on transfer to Nuweiba/Taba (approx 6 hrs). On arrival at Nuweiba/Taba, you will check in the hotel and spend the rest of the evening at leisure and overnight. Meal plan: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

DAY 3:– JERICHO/BETHLEHEM
After breakfast, transfer to the border town of Taba (approximately 30 mins), cross over to Eilat to enter Israel. Clear with immigration and proceed to Israel. Meet and be assistanced by our representative then drive down to the Dead Sea, the deepest place on earth, then to Jericho and later to Jerusalem to see it at night from Mount Olives. Proceed to the hotel in Bethlehem for overnight. Meal plan: Breakfast/ Lunch/Dinner

DAY 4: – JERUSALEM/GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE
Beginning our day at 7:30 to the Garden of Gethsemane, visit also the “Wailing Wall”, the last remnants of the Temple in Jerusalem. If the situation allows visit the Temple Mount as well. Continue in the footsteps of Jesus along the Stations of the Via Dolorosa, Jesus’ “Way of Suffering”, and unto the Church of the Holy Sepulture, where Jesus was crucified and buried. Lunch stop in the old city (Optional). Then continue to the Via Dolorosa that passes through the Old City’s oriental “Suq” (Bazaar). At 17:00 return back to the hotel for overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

DAY 5: – BETHLEHEM / EIN KAREM
In the morning, visit the ancient Church of the Nativity, where you really touch the very place where Jesus was born. The church was built by St. Helena in the 4th century, it has been an active church and never destroyed ever since! It is here that St. Hieronymus wrote the first Latin translation of the Bible – the “Volgata”. Proceed to visit the “Milk Grotto” and, the “Shepherds Fields” in Beth-Sahour. After lunch-stop, drive to Ein Karim, where John the Baptist was born, visit the “St. John in the Mountains” church, built where the house of St. John was standing. Visit also the Church of Visitation, where St. Mary visited Elisabeth, and continue to the new city of Jerusalem. Return to th hotel for overnight. Meal plan: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

DAY 6: – MT. CARMEL/CAESAREA

After Breakfast, visit old city of Jaffa, one of the ancient gateways to the Holy Land: Through its port the Cedar trees for Salomon’s Temple were brought and where Jonas tried to flee from God. It is in Jaffa where Christianity began to spread among the nations. Here St. Peter lived in the house of Simon the Tanner and had the “Vision of the Flesh”, and this is where he healed the little girl. Today Jaffa’s renovated alley-ways attract many artists, who have their galleries there. Drive to Caesarea the magnificent port-city built by King Herod the Great. Continue to Megiddo, one of Israel’s most ancient cities, where you find traces of fortifications left by the Canaanites, King Solomon, King Ahab, and more, as well as a very sophisticated water system, some claim it was built by the King Solomon. This strategic place has always been the scenery of war, and according to John’s Revelation, it is here where the last battle shall take place – the battle of Armageddon. Continue to Haifa the Mt. Carmel. Stella Mary’s and afternoon drive to Nazareth, visit the basilica and the grotto of the enunciation- the old Synagogue and Mary’s well. Overnight stay at Nazareth. Meal plan: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

DAY 7: – CAPERNAUM/SEA OF GALILEE
At 7:30 drive to visit the places around the Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, with Peters House and the famous Synagogue, enjoy the view from Mt. of the Beatitudes, where the “Sermon on the Mount” was given, and the reconstructed church in Tabgh’a, where Jesus fed multitudes on loaf of bread and fish. Later on, sail to the Galilee in a boat similar to the boat used by Jesus and his disciples. Visit the Baptismal Site on the Holy River Jordan. Return back to visit Cana on Galilee and then return to the hotel for dinner and overnight in Nazareth. Meal plan: Breakfast/ Lunch /Dinner

DAY 8:- ST. CATHERINE/MT. SINAI
Early (at 6:30) in the morning depart to visit Ein Hashofet for 2 hours. The residents work both in agriculture and industry, and their agricultural branches include poultry, dairy and beef cattle, field crops and avocado orchards. Continue to visit Qumran then to Eilat border. Cross over to Egypt and continue to St Catherine. Arrival at St, Catharine and check in hotel. Have dinner and retire early to be ready for the early morning climb next day. Overnight stay at St Catherine. Meal plan: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

DAY 9: – SINAI CLIMBING
At 0200H start the climb of Mountain of St, Catharine. Return to hotel for rest and breakfast. Check out and visit sites in St. Catherine – a place where Moses climbed up to the mountain to receive the Ten Commandments. In the same area, is the famous Greek Orthodox Monastery which is built around the Burning Bush and the well where Moses met his wife Zebura (daughter of Jethro, the priest of Median). Visit also the place where the Israelites camped when Moses went to receive the Ten Commandments. Have an optional Walking tour around the mountain in the valley of Arbien.

Thereafter cross the famous Suez Canal that separates Asia and Africa. Heading to the Springs of Moses where Moses hit the rock and twelve water springs appeared. This is where the remnants of the springs and a group of Bedouins still live there. Continue to the Wilderness of Sin where the miracle of Manna and Quails took place as you have a view of the seventy-two palm trees. Your next stop is Rephidim a place where the Israelites fought the Amalekites. During the battle, whenever Moses put his arms down, the Israelites lost and whenever he put his arms up, the Israelites were winning. (Aaron and Hur held Moses’ arms up as he started getting tired.).

Continue to Cairo and check in the hotel for overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

DAY 10 – EGYPT – DEP
Have breakfast in the hotel and spend the rest of day at leisure. Later be transfer to airport for your departure flight home. Meal plan: Breakfast
